Hawaiian Kid Abroad Problems
I think I like being around people a lot because of the culture I grew up in. In the mainland, what I’ve noticed is that people are expected to be super independent. Even children are expected to be really independent at a young age. I don’t really get that. Honestly, I want to be a part of a close knit community, one that is loving and super supportive. If anyone knows of groups I could join in Oakland that would be awesome and I would be very grateful!
